About the project

For ProfBukh, we built a web service that converts YouTube videos into ready-to-use training articles. The client had a large library of video materials that needed to be quickly transformed into step-by-step guides and training content without manually reworking every video. The client brought us in to find a working solution and implement it quickly as a practical tool: the user pastes a link to a video and gets back a finished article with structured text and screenshots from the video that help illustrate the interface and key actions.

The Challenge

We needed to reduce the volume of manual work involved in producing training materials and give the client a way to quickly repurpose video content into text format. The goal was not simply to transcribe a video, but to produce a genuinely useful piece of content that could work as an instruction or training article: with a logical structure, step-by-step presentation, and visual inserts placed at the right moments in the explanation.

Our Solution

  • Built a full processing pipeline: transcription, text cleaning and structuring, video frame analysis, and article assembly with screenshots
  • Integrated Whisper for audio transcription and OpenAI API for text structuring and formatting
  • Implemented video stream analysis to automatically select relevant frames as contextual illustrations
  • Assembled output as a structured article with step-by-step content, ready to use as a guide or training material
  • Delivered as a web interface: paste a YouTube link, receive a formatted article

Results

  • Working web service delivered in 1 week
  • Full pipeline from YouTube link to structured article with screenshots — fully automated
  • Client can repurpose existing video library without manual rework
  • Significantly accelerates production of training materials and step-by-step guides
